    Mrs. Finneran of Clooniskert, Knockcroghery, Co Ros, spins thread from wool got from sheep reared in this district and with this thread she knits socks and stockings and other garments-jumpers and gloves.
    Black clothes are worn here on the death of a relative, and bright clothes are worn on wedding days.
    The was a tailor in this district named James Thewlis. He used to go round from house to house and make the clothes for the men. The foregoing folklore was given to me by my father James Lough and by my mother Mrs. Mary K. Lough.
