Droichdín á buaille is a bridge on the Rahara - Curraghboy road at Lysterfield. There was prophecy connected with this bridge - that the woman would be washing clothes there and the waters of the river would be red with blood after the battle.
This river flows past Corcoran's hill in Longfield where tradition has it a battle was fought with the Danes and history has it that Cath Foradh or the Battle of Rahara was fought in 818.
