  1. Emblems and Objects of Value.
    On St.Patrick's day all the people wear either shamrock or harps, that night they drown the shamrock.
    At Christmas holly is hung in every house, it is put up on pictures.
    On palm Sunday palm is given to the people by the servers, the people bring home the palm and hang it in their house for luck.
    On St. Brigid's day people make crosses with two sticks and weave straw round them and hang them out of the ceiling.
    People bring in a furze on May day and it is supposed to bring good luck for the year. People do not plough on May day it is not lucky.
    If you wash your face in dew on May morning before the sun rises you will not get sunburned that year.
    A horseshoe if found with the rounded part pointing towards the house on Hallowe'en night is a sign that good luck is coming to the house.
