    Judy is the only name for sheep.
    Cats names are - pussy, tab, kitty, spot, bunny, button, seán out, minnie, flossy, lil.
    For blackleg in cattle a poultice is made of earra root and tobacco pounded together. This is applied to an incision made in the animal's tail & is supposed to cure blackleg.
    A slit is made in a calf's ear the first Thursday after he is calved to keep the fairies from bringing it.
    A red string is tied on a cow's tail after calving to keep the fairies from bringing her.
    A piece of manure is put into a newly - born calf's mouth for luck.
