Ar an leathanach seo
- "Travelling people" still visit my home. The same people have been doing so for many years. Very few of them are very poor. There are three kinds of "travelling people" such as tinkers, beggars and gipsies.
Tinkers sell cans and things made of tin. Gipsies sell mats and rugs. People usually buy from them. Some of them get their supplies in a shop in the country, and others get their supplies in a town-shop.
Some of these tinkers and gipsies travel on foot, others in carts and others again in caravans. They usually come round in threes or four.
The tinkers I know best are Mrs. Sweeney, Biddy Hatter, McDonaghs, Stokes and Mongans. The family that visits our house most frequently are the Sweeneys. They usually come here on the local market days or on the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
