Little meat or vegetables. Several wild things which grew out in the fields were eaten, such as 'vetches' and watercress.Long ago some old people always ate a big feed before retiring, it being a habit. A big feed of eggs was always eaten on Easter Sunday. Jam pots were often used in the district before cups became common.Written by:
