    In fact some put forward this explanation for the names Baoi Béara, Cuan Baoí and Dún Baoí, but these names are of a much more ancient origin.
    A stone circle in land of Ml. Sullivan, Lochánmore, quite adjacent to school is 20ft: in diameter. The stones are no longer standing tho'.
    Three Cromlechs in townland of Baile na Carraige, in straight line N. to S. middle one is about 50 yds. from one and 20 yds from the other. Four or six "wedges" [?] each with "cap" weighing about 4 tons. You couldn't go under any of them.
