    and the most common ones were "Blind Man's Baff", "Hides" and Ludo. Sometimes they hung an apple from the ceiling and tried to catch it with their teeth. This was very hard to do, and whoever got it was supposed to get married the first.
    Christmas was the next great feast, and it was the greatest during the whole year. When Christmas night came all the family sat around the fire while the house prepared a nice supper for them. Long ago the people had their potatoes used before Christmas, and they usually kept a meal of them for Christmas supper.
