    Some years ago a man named Hanley who was working in Allihies mines was one night crossing Knockoura hill.

    Eyries. At the cross of Eyries there was a crowd of girls dancing. The priest used alway be hindering the people from dancing there. He told them to go out of the road. The did all but one girl who told him she would keep dancing. The priest had to go into the dyke to pass. After he passed he told her he would give her enough of dancing. He made the sign of the cross & said some aspiration. She kept dancing for three days and three nights without stopping after that.
