“There are many signs by which people can know when bad or good weather is coming.”
There are many signs by which people can know when bad or good weather is coming. The night before the rain always a person could see the smoke in his neighbours house. The usual wind that bring the rain in this part of the country is the "S. & S.W." winds. When the sea-gulls come flying around the house that is a sure sign of rain. Another sure sign of rain is when birds come swooping down near the ground. A person would often see a big ring around the Sun or Moon which is called a "Hailo."- Collector
