- Weather in this locality is very changeable, but throughout the year we do not suffer from any extremes of heat or cold.
Old people used observe the weather closely. If they noticed that the sun was a pronounced blood-red colour at sun-set, this they said was an indication of rain. A halo round the moon is a clear indication of rain. If the wind was a south-westernly direction and the sky dark and cloudy, this was and is an indication that bad weather is approaching.
