    such as Ballyvourney and Gougane-Barra, or about some picturesque locality such as Drishane or the Geragh and several other beauty spots.
    His songs in praise of Ballybourney and Gougane gave a splendid description of the feast days in both places and brought out his lofty ideas of Religion. He composed a song also about the first Cork Park Races, and in it he described everything and everybody from the gentry to the "tumble rigger".
    His songs will live forever as there is no family but have heard them. The only fault
