    Great rain fell also after the storm. cork city was flooded to such an extent that the people had to leave their homes or else be drowned. Rivers overflowed their banks in many places were swept away. Bridges were knocked in many places and people were drowned crossing the rivers art the points where those bridges had disappeared.
