    Remorse of conscience
    Whether with remorse of concience or with a foreboding of evil, at some think he hear the wild wolves baying, he tor issued forth, intot he night to find her.
    At Ahane Cross he found wolves or wild dogs devouring the few remaining bones - all that were left of his sister.
    At his approach the wolves were sowed with terror. In a voice of anguish the Saint implored "hevaen dire vengeance on thos edogs." Scarcely had he spoken when the dogs - or probably wolves - were turned into stone.
    The Saint reverently gathered up the bones of his sister, and carried
