The following Life of Saint Finbarr was obtained by The Revd. P. Hurley, P.P. of Inchigeela, photographed from the lives of the Irish Saints, in the Burgundian Library at Brussels, written by Michael O Clery, one of the "Four Masters". In a short note at the termination, O Clery states that he wrote this life of St. Finbar in the friars' convent at Cork in June of the year 1629, and that he took it from a vellum book, the property of Daniel Dinneen. - Now transcribed and translated by Patrick Stanton of Cork, in November of the year 1893.
