  2. There was a priest in Macroom, who was very fond of children. One day, he entered a house and took one of them in his arms.
    Now it happened that there was a man in the house, who was always known to give smart answers, and when he saw the priest take the child in his arms, he stared at him in amazement.
    "Jack", said the priest, "Did you ever see a priest, take a child in his arms, before."
    "Begor, no then, father" answered Jack, "But the longer a person lives, the more he sees."
