    In Derryrue, Rusheen, a few miles from this place there is a holy well, named "Tobar Dearg", or as it is more commonly called "The Red Well". People visit it at all parts of the year to pay rounds; it is supposed to cure Rheumatic pains.
    If a person having whooping cough is drawn three times under a she-ass, he will be cured.
    Sore hands and feet are cured, by getting a dog to lick the affected spot.
