    nest is very big. It is built of moss and lined with cow hair. The nest is always wet. The wrens eggs are white with brown spots. She lays seventeen eggs.
    The magpie builds on top of a haw-tree. The nest is build of stones, mud, and sticks. The nest has a wide top and it comes to a point at the end. The nest is about three feet from top to bottom.
    The pheasants build in wild land. Pheasants are very plentiful in four bogs adjoining the main road from Cork to Macroom.
    Each of the above birds hatch from two to three weeks.
