    He found himself standing beside a rick of turf, in front of a farmer's house a few miles from his own. When he arrived home he was as pale as death and having told them his nights' adventure they said that they had searched for him all night and by the help of lanterns searched a lake which he had passed on his way home from the shop fearing that in the darkness he had slipped into it.
