    Once upon a time a Quaker lived in Rockhill and he was supposed to be very rich. One night a band of men called moonlighters came to rob him. It is said that he put up a great fight from inside and he fired while his ammunition lasted till at last he was shot and his blood is on the walls still. The robbers went in and took his money and Jewellery and it is said that they went across the Shannon towards Longford. As they were going through a wood they saw a magpie's nest and they hid the money and jewellery in it. But as they were hiding it a man saw them and when they were gone he got the money and the robbers go none.
