- Some years ago there was a man from Clonburn named Dan Kenny working in Mr. Matther's. One night he was going over to look at cattle at twelve o'clock at night and he met a funeral at Falty school, "Begorra and begob, said Dan "I turned around and walked a few steps after the funeral." He found out that it was the fairies that was carrying the coffin. They left it down and disappeared. "Begorra and begob," said Dan, "I took off the lid of the coffin and I found out it was a girl, "Begorra and begob said Dan, I asked her who she was and where she came from. She was not able to speak. So I brought her back to Mr. Matther's house, and Matther's kept her for for a while. She was not able to talk at all during this time. Some night after, Dan was going over to Matther's to look at cattle. He met the fairies again. They were talking(continues on next page)
