- One night as a man was coming home from a wake, he was frightened by a ghost on the way. He was cycling along the road for himself and when he was passing by a gate the gate was thrown open and then shut again.
The man nearly fell off his bicycle with the fright and he tried to cycle quick but something was keeping back all the time until he was home. The man was afraid to go to a wake with himself for a long time afterwards for fear he would have to pass home by that gate again.
He would not go anywhere rambling a dark night without someone with him.Margaret Kenny. It is not right to look out through glass at a new moon.
