  2. Long ago there lived in Mount Gabriel a man, named Paddy Murphy. He had only six acres of bad land, and a big family of children. He was unable to pay his rent and the landlord said he would turn him out, so Paddy went to the fair with his only cow. When he saw the moon shining, as a clock or a watch was unknown in any man's house.
    When Paddy was passing by the fairy castle, he saw a light in one of the windows, and he saw six men playing cards and six heaps of gold
