    hill in the townland of Droumacoppil and it is called "Árd an t-séipál". There was a Chapel there long ago. Later on a Mass bell was heard every night in the place where the Chapel was. The hill is about one mile and a half east of Bantry.
    There was a chapel in Inchiclough, a townland about three miles east of Bantry. There was a Mass bell heard one evening where the Chapel was. Long ago there was a crippled man lived in the townland of Clooneygorman, and he asked the priest could he do anything for him. The priest said that he would say Mass near the cripple's bed on the following morning.
    The priest came next morning and said Mass and three weeks after the cripple was able to work. There is an altar stone in the townland of Glencreagh. In the Penal times Mass was said there. The priest who used to say Mass there was beheaded by soldiers.
    One day the Protestant Minister of Bantry and the Parish Priest of Durrus named Rev. Fr. Kearney met about a mile west of Bantry. The minister had
