    There's danger in delay

    It was a sad sore loss to me
    when twenty doz died.
    And fifteen doz. of the small [?]
    Were pitched right over the side.
    Peppero said dont despair,
    Try the pots again.
    For before the seasons over
    A medal you may win.

    I next went to the Mizen,
    I shot my pots about,
    and then I came to anchor
    the wind blew from the South
    But I had to haul my pots again
    & that with-out delay
    For the wind it blew most furious
    Just at the break of day.

    The wind it blew a hurricane
    With all my pots aboard
    I steered my vessel into Caol
    were I then safely moored
    Twas then I [?] to my home
    Hoping for repose
    But every snore that I would give
