- Once there was what appeared to be a poor woman, but really a witch, and her grandson living in a tiny house on the side of a hill. They had not cows, so the woman used to change herself into a hare and go every morning and evening to the neighbours cows and milk them in turn. The cows at that time used be milked out in the field. This woman used churn and sell the butter in the village, and with the money she got for the butter, she and her grandson were able to live happily together. All the people were wondering why their cows used have no milk some mornings.
Every morning they would see a big hare jumping into the rushes near by and they began to think, in fact come to the conclusion, that the hare had(continues on next page)- Collector
