   off and one would remain in the gun.They also made a bow and arrow. A long piece of twig and a piece of twine they would turn the twig to a half moon shape. They tie the twine to each end of it. They then get a nice piece of timber to make their arrows. They draw this to a point in one end. They place the arrow against the centre of the twine and place it down in the centre of the bow holding it with their thumb and first finger, then they pull on the arrow and take aim at a bird and leave it fire
   They also make bird baskets to catch birds. They first make a square of four rods. They put a double twine on each corner. They then cut rods and place them one over another coming to a point and lace the four corners with a twine. They then a lone twig fixed on two of the corners under neath the cage. They get a gobhlog and a piece of twig lifting their cage at one end and putting their gobhlog standing up wards against the cage. This piece of twig is places against the bottom of the cage. When the bird comes she jumps on the twig to get in for the bread. Then the cage would trip and catch her.
   They make snares out of brass wire for catching rabbits, they twist five or six strands of this wire together leaving a lúb at one end; they run the other right through this. They tie a piece of twine and a stick to prepare to drive through the ground
