Tow other forts are opposite this one in Dreenlomane - and it is said that they were connected by a passage underground through which the Danes used to go from one fort to another.
    Account of Fort
There is another fort in the farm of John Hayes of Dunbeacon which is about two hundred yards from Dunbeacon Chapel. About thirty years ago this fort was complete but the owner of the land anxious to plough the field started to tear it away, but however disaster befell them before half the work was done as one of the family died suddenly. They did not continue the work and the ruins of the fort are still to be seen.
