The man that gave him the food was called "Mungee" from that time until the day of his death. The coast guards who were in Schull heard about them and they sent a car for them to Gunpoint. When they were leaving, they cried and they shook hands with the people who saved them from the sea, and they said "Good Mothers" to the women that fed them. The crew of the boat who saved the men were: John Donovan Gunpoint who was captain.
