    A pilate boat do glide
With a pilate flag in her mizen mast
Aflying in the breeze with a little cool, she travels fast
For a stately ship she steers
She is now hoved too, with main-yards backed

We natives of this Island are the true bred Irish race
    No mixture of the Sasanach
    Flows through our Irish race
    We are but simple fishermen
But we love our Island dear
    Likewise our homes and sweethearts
