- There was a man living in Youghal long ago and he could not say as much as one sentence without an oath or a curse. When telling the biggest lie he used say, "That a blade of grass may not grow on my grave, if it is not true."
Well and good, the day came when he had to die, The poor man was buried.
The people of the place can show the spot where he is buried, and what do you think!! the Lord save us from all harm - but there isn't a single blade of grass growing on the grave from one end to the other.
