    And forgot to pray for my mother's rest.
    O' Father, bless me, and let me go;
    To die if God has ordained it so;
    I bear no hate to a living thing;
    But I love my country above my king.
    The youth looked up and a rumbling noise
    Made the youth look around in wild surprise.
    For the robes are off and in scarlet there.
    Stood a yeoman Captain, in firey glare;
    With fiery glare and with fury hoarse
    Instead of a blessing he breathes a curse;
    'Twas a good thought now to come here and shrive;
    For one short hour is your time alive.
    We hold our house for Our Lord the King;
    And "amen" say I may all traitors swing;
    Upon yonder river three tenders float,
    The priest's in one if he isn't shot.
