The birds which are commonly found in my district are:- the robin, lark, blackbird, hawk, common thrush, mountain thrush, crow, seagull, swallow, jackdaw, snipe, starling, sparrow, lady wagtail, yellow hammer, magpie, speckled wren, brown wren, goldfinch, bull finch, water-hen, water duck, pigeon.
    The thrush usually makes its nest in a bush or in strong briars. It is made of hay or grass and lined with mud. She lays about four fairly large eggs. They are of a dark green colour and speckled with black.
