  1. There is a fort in Dreenlomane, two in Rathravane, one in Mount Gabriel, one in Letter one in Cussivinna, one in Raheen, one in Laharn and one in Gurteenroe. Each fort can be seen from the other. They are all circular in shape, and there is a fence of earth around some of them. It is said that the Danes built them them, and that fairy people used to be seen in them long ago. It is said that the fairies used to take away young children and leave an old fairy instead and make it like the child. The fairy child would then die after a few days.
