One day, a man tried to lift the stones but one fell upon him and killed him. Any of the stones are not to be seen now because the cattle have them knocked down and broken.
In the land of Mr. Jones Droumbeg Glandore there is a circle of stones known as the "Druid's circle" and as they are all facing east they are supposed to be dedicated to sun worship.
In the townland of Carhoogarrif (meaning rough quarter) There is a Turret known as "Thompson's Turret" erected on the edge of a rock 100ft high this turret was circular, 35 ft in diameter 30 ft high with a conical roof, it was built by an Atheist named Thompson an English man who decided to lay the foundation of a communal settlement there, but did not succeed. After his death it went to ruins- Collector
