  1. There is a woman named Mrs Connolly, living in Shandrum, Dornagh Dunwanway, Co Cork. and it happened one day that a cow cape up out of the lake which is beside Shandrum Rectory, and came to this woman's house. The woman used milk the cow night and morning, and she stayed with her for three years and had three calves. One night the woman was milking the cow, and the cow kicked her, so she cursed the cow. Then the cow came out of the stall, and lowed three times and the three calves came to her and they went down into the lake. There are three moving islands there now, and a man who went to see these islands lately stood on one of them and was not able to come off until the next morning.
