    It was said that the most mislucky thing a man could do was to steal part of a plough.
    It was wrong to praise a child without adding "God less Him." If one said "What a fine child"! and neglect blessing him, the child might then be overlooked.
    Some old women, when they would speak like that of a child would pretend to spit on him. This was to show they had no value on him mardheadh. Then he might not be over looked.
