    The priest often spoke against faction fighting. One time the Mahony Céins won a great battle at Kinneigh. Next Sunday the priest spoke about it, condemning the custom.
    "B'fhearr liom" said he "go bhfanfadh muintir Céin siar thar abha uaim. Agus dá mbáil liom a radh - is faó do mhairbh Céin Abel."
    The allusion to the abha was because they lived west of the Blackwater from Inis Chéin parish.
