- One stormy night I happened to be at home myself. A fierce storm arose. The raging wind knocked down trees and tore slates off the roof and I was very frightened. I went out to see if my Father and Mother were coming home from town and I was nearly blown away.
I looked around to see if every door was closed. Then I came in and after a while I heard the thunder and saw the lightning. After about an hour the storm began to cease and it was all over before morning.- Collector
