Blankets, from the weavers, were sent to the tucking mill - washed in urine.Carding Mills.
Wool sent to the carding mill was sprinkled with oil - beaten with a club to work the oil into it.Dyeing
Sometimes it was dyed at home to make frieze before being sent to the weavers two colours. They often kept a few coloured sheep - black and grey - specially for frieze.Tailors
