    Céim-carraige means a step in the rock, and is so called because there were steps in the rock, as a short cut for the people.
    Gort-na-Brannar means the field of the stubble.
    Gort-na-Lice means the field of the stones.
    Clais-Maguire means the trench of the Maguires.
    Bótar-na-carraige means the rocky road, and is so called because it is a by-road and is very rocky.
    Carraig-na-staigre means the rocky stairs.
    Guráne-nagcapall means the wood of the horses.
    Bárr-an-tseana-cnuic means the top of the old hill.
    Doire-liat means the grey church.
    Crois-an-teampaill means the cross at the chruch and is called because there was a church one time where the grave-yard now stands.
    Árd-na croise means mount cross.
    Lios-carraigán means the rock in lios.
    Goirtín Ruad means the red field
    Muileann Ruadd means the brown mill.
    Dún-Dá-Radarc means the fort of two sights.
