    Colonel Deasy who was rescued from the prison van at Manchester was a native of Clonakilty. The three Manchester Martyrs Allen, Larkin and O'Brien were executed as a reprizer.
    Allen who was yet a boy belonged to Bandon.
    The Ambush at Crossbarry was fought on March 19th 1921.
