    If the saint made prophecies of this kind they would fill a book as big as Coumlockin Hotel. And of course he never troubled his head with such trifles. The reason why these so called predictions were swallowed without hesitation was due to the condition of the country.
    The poor people were crushed so much by Seán Buidhe and his garrison in Ireland that they encouraged one another to hope that some day a deliverer would suddenly appear and drive out the foreigners.
    Their descendants do not dwell so much upon these prophecies. And it is well for many of these so called prophecies are forgeries.
