- I am living in the townland of Knocknamana in the parish of Tracton in the barony of Kinealea. There are about ten families in the townland. There are about thirty people in it. The family most common is Buckleys.
The most of the people live in slated houses. It was called Knocknamana because long ago there were monks living there and it was called after them. The land is hilly and it is called Cnoc Na Manach in Irish.- Collector
