  1. There is an acre and a half of land sown with potatoes every year on my farm. My father prepares the ground. First he ploughs it into drills then he spreads the manure on the drills.
    Long ago the people used wooden ploughs for ploughing, and there is one man in my townland that has that kind of a plough his name is Paddy Dineen. Those people that had no ploughs had to do work with a spade. These spades were made by a blacksmith in Cullen and he
