  1. The games they used play long ago were football hurling and handball. Long ago the people of three or four townlands used gather together and the ball used be thrown in between them and the people of each townland tried to carry it home. Sometimes they used kick it from town to town.
    They used play hurling also, the way they used play it was to stand two sticks with a certain distance between them at one end of the field and two more on the other side the same way.
