  2. In Clondrohid village the bugle was sounded
    Saying pipers and drummers attend to the call.
    The sporting boys came like a flood through a gully
    To carnay the boys to a game of football
    The horses stood prancing, the ladies stood gazing
    Admiring the players and the airs of their tunes
    But the ballplayers were jealous their captain was raging
    And told them drive on to the town of Macroom
