The man took the shoe into the bed with him and left it there until the people were gone to bed, then he put the shoe where he got it. When the woman came again she put on the shoe and she said "you are a good decent man and you will always have good luck and plenty money and all who came after him.

The sporting boys came like a flood through a gully To carnay the boys to a game of football The horses stood prancing, the ladies stood gazing Admiring the players and the airs of their tunes But the ballplayers were jealous their captain was raging And told them drive on to the town of Macroom
