Years after a couple of men dreamt about it. They dreamt of it three nights in succession. On the third night they went to the place, and they dug up the earth. There was a flag stone up on it. They were just lifting the flag stone when the Turkey cock flew at them. They got frightened and they ran away. The next morning when they came, the hole was closed, the way they found it first.
In Blarney in the county of Cork, it is said that there is gold hidden in its lake. Long ago a Protestant mason threw in a chest of gold. He said that whoever would try to get it out, the should get four true mares. One man had three true mares. The diver went down and tied the chest to the chains of the mares. They just had it out to the brink when the chains broke, and they lost their chest of gold.
There is also another story told of gold being hidden in Bunkilla Fouornaught. A rich Protestant hid it. One night men dreamt of it. They went to dig it in the middle of the night. It was said that no one could speak while they were digging. They were just near the gold when one man swore that it was here. Just then Thunder and lightning came around them, and they run away and told the man of the farm. The man came out at four o'clock. He went to the hole and it was opened. He went into it and picked up his gold. He got very rich and he bought many farms in Donoughmore.
There is also gold hidden in Knockrourke. People knew it and went to the place
