    JULY 15th AND 16th:-
    These days are called Saint Swethen's Days. If these days are wet, we are supposed to get 40 days of rain.
    LADY DAY, MARCH 25th:-
    On this day, the labourers were busy, changing into their new homes.
    NEW YEAR'S NIGHT:-
    The people of this district light a candle on each window of the house.
    ALL SOUL'S NIGHT:-
    The people lit candles for their dead, on the Grave-yard wall.
    MAY DAY:-
    You should not redden the soil that day.
    Rub the cows with their manure, at the right hand side of the tail and sprinkle Holy water on them May morning.
    You should not get a drop of milk from any farmer on May day. If they did give anyone milk, they put a pinch of salt in it.
    You should not sit on the grass May day.
    SAINT BRIDGET'S DAY, FEBRUARY 1st.
    The girls used wear crosses on their right shoulder.
